Tour overview

Hi, Cuba!

10 DAYS / 9 NIGHTS

Welcome to Cuba, a treasure in the middle of the Caribbean Sea. Experience this wonderful island with us. You will fall in love with its varied culture, unique and catchy music and dances, delicious traditional food, and ancient buildings, but above all, you’ll love the warmness in which Cubans treat their visitors. From the moment you arrive in the country, you will get fascinated with the city’s “rolling museum”, consisting of a large number of completely restored American classic cars from the ‘50s, used today as cabs. During this 10-day tour, you will get to the central part of the country, leaving a little piece of your heart in each area you visit. Don’t worry about the language, your guide will assist you in every visit and every Cuban knows how to say: Welcome to our Casa! You just have to say: Hi, Cuba!

Guaranteed departures:
To guarantee the departure of this group tour, a minimum of 4 people is required.
Don’t worry if you are traveling alone or with a friend. You can reserve your package for only $100 per person and once the departure is confirmed continue paying the balance due.

Itinerary

Day 1. Saturday

HAVANA

Welcome to Cuba! Your tour begins as you are met at the airport by our local tour guide and transferred to your accommodation in the city center. Once you check-in and settle in, take your time to meet other members of the group and/or enjoy the surroundings. Be ready to enjoy a delicious welcome dinner at a private Cuban paladar and if not tired, go to dance with locals. Bus transfer back to your casa will be available at midnight (12AM). Your tour guide and driver will be ready to take you to your accommodation. In case you want to stay to continue enjoying your time, please, bear in mind you’ll have to take a taxi on your own for the way back.

Meals Included: Dinner

Day 2. Sunday

HAVANA

This morning, put on your walking shoes and your coolest clothes, and get ready to discover the history behind the magnificent buildings of Old Havana, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1982. You will get lost in the charm of the Plaza de la Catedral; the Plaza de Armas, where the village of San Cristobal de La Habana was founded in 1519; the Plaza Vieja, where the famous Cámara Oscura is located; and the Plaza de San Francisco de Asis, known as the Plaza de las Palomas.

Time flies and it’s lunch time!!! Enjoy local food and live music at a private paladar in the area. Take into account that paladar means a small, family-run restaurant. This means you are contributing to the economic well-being of some Cuban families. One national drink is included. We recommend a refreshing Mojito or Daiquiri.

After lunch, take some minutes to visit the handicraft market “Almacenes de San Jose” and buy the most special souvenirs for your loved ones. You’ll feel the real essence of Cubans while interacting with the vendors. They always welcome you with the great smile and warmth that characterize most Cubans. If you bought hats, caps and/or sunglasses, take the opportunity to show them off, as you will take a little sunbath during a panoramic tour of modern Havana in Old American convertible cars. During this tour, a stop at the Revolution Square and the viewpoint of the Morro Castle are included to admire the outstanding view of almost the whole area.

Time to go back to the casa and get ready for dinner. Delight your paladar at another delicious Cuban paladar. After dinner, enjoy the unforgettable show “Habana de Fiesta” at the famous Parisien Cabaret, with lots of music, dance and colors; a very interesting way to learn more about Cuba’s history, culture and its people.

Your driver will be ready at midnight at the entrance of the hotel to take you back to your casa. In case you want to stay to continue enjoying the recorded music, please, bear in mind you’ll have to take a taxi on your own for the way back.

Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 3. Monday

VIÑALES

Today, it will be a different day. You will leave the comfort of the city in Havana to go to a unique area in Cuba characterized by its mogotes and extensive areas of tobacco plantations. Discover the Valley of Viñales, located in Pinar del Rio, the westernmost province of the island.

During this almost 3-hour ride you will be able to recover your energy in the bus, while listening to the explanations of our expert guide. Enjoy a panoramic view of the area at the first stop, the well-known Mirador de los Jazmines. Then, visit the famous Cueva del Indio (Indian’s Cave). Get ready to walk inside the cave for approximately 250 meters and take a 10-minute boat ride through the subterranean river San Vicente.

Afterwards, you will continue to a Vega, a tobacco plantation where you will meet some local farmers, and they will explain you first hand everything related to the plantation and harvesting process of this precious crop.

It’s time for lunch! Enjoy a traditional Cuban lunch at an agro-ecological farm and take time for pictures at the well known Prehistoric Mural.

On the way back to Havana, you will stop at a “paladar habanera” for a delicious dinner. In case it is still early for you, you can choose to take your dinner home.

Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 4. Tuesday

HAVANA

Wake up! Wake up! Time to continue enjoying the enchants of the city. After breakfast, you will visit one of the largest, most prestigious and well-known community art projects in Cuba and the world, Fusterlandia. This is a neighborhood adorned with mosaic artwork as artist, Jose Fuster, has converted his home and much of the surrounding neighborhood into literal works of art.

Continue your tour to the Cigar Factory Romeo & Juliet and afterwards, visit the Rum Museum in Old Havana. As it is lunch time, delight your paladar at restaurant “Comedor de Aguiar”, winner of the World Luxury Restaurant Awards 2023. After lunch, enjoy the gardens of Hotel Nacional and the Hall of Fame while overlooking the 8 km-long Malecón.

Go back to the casa, take a nap and get ready for dinner. Enjoy the night while listening to good music and dancing with locals. Your tour guide and driver will be ready at midnight to take you back to your accommodation place. In case you want to stay to continue enjoying the recorded music, please, bear in mind you’ll have to take a taxi on your own for the way back.

Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 5. Wednesday

VILLA CLARA | TRINIDAD | CIENFUEGOS

Ready to visit Central Cuba? Today is a long day. You’ll visit the provinces of Villa Clara, Sancti Spíritus and Cienfuegos. After breakfast, you’ll depart to Villa Clara, 3 hours and a half from Havana province. This city is known for its historical significance, vibrant cultural scene, and natural beauty. First stop will be at the Central Park Vidal where the historic buildings and facades are a testament to Cuba’s rich colonial past. Continue the tour to the Tren Blindado or ‘Armored Train’ Memorial which commemorates the 1958 Battle of Santa Clara, during which Che Guevara’s revolutionary detachment succeeded in derailing an armoured supply train carrying ammunitions to the army of General Fulgencio Batista. Next stop in Villa Clara will be at the Che Guevara Mausoleum. This imposing memorial contains the remains of Che Guevara and 29 other guerrilla members who died with him in Bolivia.

Time for lunch at a local private paladar. Continue to Trinidad, one of the most beautiful and authentic cities of Cuba declared as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1988. Visit the Valle de los Ingenios and take your time to walk the streets of the city and taste the delicious Canchanchara, a typical cocktail from the region. Continue to Cienfuegos, the province known as the pearl of the south. Enjoy a delicious dinner in front of the sea and discover why the famous Cuban musician Benny More said: “Cienfuegos es la ciudad que más me gusta a mí” (in English: Cienfuegos is the city I like the most). After dinner, you will check in at your private casa, take a shower and relax. Tomorrow is another day!

Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 6. Thursday

CIENFUEGOS

Cienfuegos is an elegant small city with an eclectic style mix. It was founded by French settlers in 1819, so you’ll notice the French influence once you walk its streets during the tour of its historic center. While walking its boulevard, don’t forget to visit the handicraft markets and the statue of Benny More located at the longest Prado of Cuba.

Enjoy your lunch at a private paladar and continue your tour on a medium sized boat that will take you for a ride on the Bay. You will have the opportunity to visit the Jagua Fortress built in 1742 and appreciate the sunset from the bay.

After dinner, enjoy your evening at leisure. You can enjoy the breeze of the Cienfueguero Malecon or choose any other optional activity of your preference.

Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 7. Friday

CIENFUEGOS | MATANZAS

This morning you will visit the Guanaroca Lagoon. This is the most important protected area in the province of Cienfuegos, with the category of “wildlife refuge”. Its name comes from an aboriginal legend that explains its origin. Its waters serve as a shelter for sea birds, among which the pink flamingos stand out.

After the visit to the lagoon, you’ll have lunch at a private paladar to continue your way to Matanzas province. Check-in and settle in. Take your time to enjoy the area.

Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 8. Saturday

MATANZAS | HAVANA

Enjoy the morning on your own. After lunch, continue your tour back to Havana. On the way back, you’ll have a city tour of Matanzas province. Today, you’ll have dinner at Doña Carmela, a paladar that was visited by the American singer Rihana during her visit to Cuba.

Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 9. Sunday

HAVANA

Day 9 in Cuba! This has been a wonderful trip. Today you’ll have the chance to visit a Community Art Project named Muraleando. This area used to be home to a garbage dump. But professional artists of the community have turned the trash into treasures through this amazing Project. Enjoy a salsa lesson while sharing experiences with the local artists and create strong friendship bonds.

Continue to El Divino, a private paladar that received the Excellence Award from TripAdvisor in 2014 and obtained the Fourth National Excellence Crown of urban agriculture and the agro- ecological seal. The Paladar is supplied by an integrated farm. The farm has been declared Provincial Botanical Garden of fruit trees.

Take the rest of the afternoon on your own and get ready for the farewell dinner in the area of Old Havana. Enjoy live music and give us your feedback about this tour.
